Survey Field Crew Chief

Job Description:

We are currently seeking a motivated Survey Field Crew Chief for immediate full time employment based out of our Monroe or Fort Wayne office.

Position Responsibilities:

·         Utilize the latest surveying technology and equipment to complete all types of land surveying fieldwork

·         Coordinate and communicate field work with surveying and engineering office personnel

·         Keep accurate notes, records, and sketches to clearly describe work performed

·         Willingness to work in all weather conditions, as position will primarily be outdoors

Position Qualifications:

·         5+ years of surveying experience or related experience

·         Experience performing survey field work including topography, boundary, ALTA, and lot surveys.

·         Experience performing construction staking

·         Familiarity with GPS and robotic total station

·         Knowledge of construction drawings and construction processes

·         Ability to effectively communicate verbally and written

·         Capacity to perform physical activities such as lifting, dragging, stooping, and standing/walking

Position Requirements:

·         Valid driver’s license with good driving record

·         Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in a surveying or construction related field or equivalent work experience

·         Experience and knowledge with surveying/construction trades

·         Strong problem solving skills and attention to detail

·         Willingness to guide and mentor field crew members

·         Good understanding of and willingness to learn new technology
