Survey CAD Technician

Job Description:

We are currently seeking a motivated Survey CAD Technician for immediate full time employment based out of our Monroe or Fort Wayne office.

Position Responsibilities:

·         Process data files from field crews into AutoCAD Civil 3D format

·         Prepare survey drawings, exhibits, sketches, as-builts, and other types of finished survey products.

·         Create legal descriptions, reports, and generate construction staking calculations

·         Research parcel information and deed records both in office and at county government offices

·         Read and plot deeds, easements, and other legal descriptions

·         Develop contours for topography surveys

·         May occasionally work in the field as part of a field crew

Position Qualifications:

·         Minimum 1-3 years of experience in surveying or a surveying related field

·         Knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Office

·         Familiarity with GPS and robotic total station

·         Experience performing all aspects of office/drafting work involved in boundary, topography, ALTA, and lot surveys, as well as calculations for construction staking

·         Knowledge of construction drawings and construction processes

·         Willingness to take ownership of every project assigned and ability to effectively communicate

Position Requirements:

·         Valid driver’s license with good driving record

·         Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in a surveying or construction related field or equivalent work experience

·         Experience and knowledge in surveying with strong problem solving skills and attention to detail

·         Excellent computer skills and a good understanding of and willingness to learn new technology
